Harold Edward Webb was born on 15th April 1915 (Norwich Q3-1915 4B:262), son of Harry and Florence WEBB (née DALZELL). The family lived at Post Office Terrace, The Pound, Fordham. Harold had brothers Dalzell J.A.[11-6-1913] and Reginald H. [14-1-1919], and sisters Constance C [1917], Gladys M [1922] and Margaret I [1926]. In addition there was on baby girl who died un-named (Newmarket Q4-1920).
His father was a Club Steward. Harold was a lorry driver for H.A.Newport Haulage of Fordham.
In 1939 the family were at 3 Post Office Terrace, father Harry [19-12-1883] part time Deputy Steward British Legion Club/Parish Clerk; mother Florence G [16-8-1885]; brother Dalzell J, horseman on farm; Harold , lorry driver's mate; brother Reginald H, assistant nurseryman. There is one closed record.





Local records have him killed when his lorry was blown up by a mine. He was originally buried at Sittensen, but re-interred at Becklingen in July 1946
